Information about the Brisbane branch of the Australasian Order of Old Bastards (henceforth known as Gill's Old Bastards) will be provided here until we get a website of our own. Who are Gill's Old Bastards? We are a charity group who enjoy a drink or two. The AOOB was formed in 1968 in NSW and has since spread all over the country. The Brisbane branch has only recently been set up but we are eager to make it one of the biggest and most active branches in the country. Our primary charities are the Gallipoli Foundation (cancer research) and The Cancer Council Queensland (formerly Queensland Cancer Fund). Our group meets at The Tank Hotel every Wednesday evening after work We hold meat tray raffles and there is also a cash jackpot that is currently worth $4600. So, come along for a drink and meet some like minded people. If you like what you see, talk to someone about joining up. I don't think $15 for a life membership is going to send anyone broke.
Gill's Old Bastard Membership: If you would like to join the GOBs, simply get in touch with PK, Renoir or any other member and talk to us about joining. We'll put you on file, it'll make you smile and you'll be doing something worthwhile. |
